About us
Practical CE Seminars is part of The Holman Group of Companies. It was founded in 2008 to address the clinical needs of therapist working with individuals in unique work environments.
The Holman Group is a California Knox-Keene licensed managed behavioral health care company. Founded in 1979, Holman is dedicated to providing top quality mental health services to over half a million people nationwide. Our client base tends to be made up of working people and their family members who have unique needs.
Holman provides counseling services through a provider network of over 32,000 therapists. Over the past 30 years of working with a licensed provider network and a diverse client base, Holman has identified specific, clinical needs of the population our providers server, and educational needs within our provider network. To address these needs and better server our clients and providers we have formed a separate company, which is part of The Holman Group of Companies, to develope CE approved classes to address these needs. All of our CE courses are based on credible research and empirical knowledge.
Our courses have two primary areas of focus:
- Developing specialized clinical understand and skills to enable the therapist to work effectively with unique employee populations.
- Enhancing clinical skills in the area of brief psychotherapy.
Holman's distant learning courses are currently offered through written course materials, on-line viewing of DVD clips, and on-line video training sessions.
