CE Courses Requirement
For Prospective Authors/Online Instructors
Following are the requirements for licensed clinicians interested in writing a course for Practical CE Seminars:
- Course title, author, and content (outline and/or synopsis), must be pre-approved in writing by Practical CE Seminars. Upon approval Practical CE Seminars will email a contract to you for review and signature.
- Practical CE Seminars reserves the right to set prices, determine the number of CEUs offered per class, and set discounts. The formula we use to determine the number of CEUs for each class has been filed with the various credentialing boards and it will be applied consistently to all courses. Specifically, 3000 to 4000 words = 1 CEU, based on a reading rate of 50 to 66 words per minute. CEUs for time spent viewing videos or webinars will be allocated based on the actual length of the video or webinar, where 1 hour of viewing time = 1 CEU.
- The course author will be paid 30% the purchase price of each course purchased for the first 100 sales for that individual course; then 20% for each purchase over 100. If any discount code worth 50% or more is used to purchase one of the author's seminars, the purchase of this seminar will not be counted against the first 100 seminars. If an author writes more than one course for Practical CE Seminars, the above formula will be calculated per course. Payments will be made monthly.
- Upon submitting a course the author must also submit:
- Course materials in a Word Document;
- Goals/objectives for each course. Generally, 1 objective per CEU is appropriate.
- Post-Test with answers. Generally, 2 to 3 questions per CEU.
- Bibliography (must include current professional references sited in APA or MSL format), and
- A synopsis of the course.
- The author must review and, update if necessary, each of his/her course annually.
