How do I register for an online continuing education class?

It is easy to sign-up for an online CE course.

  • Choose the class you want by clicking on the class name.
  • Click the "Buy Now" button. You will be directed to PayPal……
What credit cards do you accept?

We utilize PayPal for all CE class payment. PayPal accepts Mastercard, Visa, American Express, Discover Card, debit cards, and bank transfers.

I am having difficulty completing my transaction.

Some of the most common reasons transactions don’t go through include:

  • Incorrect credit card number
  • Incorrect expiration date
  • Incorrect or missing CVV number
  • Not using the address the credit card is billed to. If you have entered a different address (possibly your office address), the transaction will be declined.
  • Credit card is declined.
  • Computer issue – try rebooting your computer and placing order again.
I have ordered a CE class and I have not yet received my link to take the course.

You should receive your link through PayPal as soon as you have finished paying. If you have navigated away from this page, you can retrieve your course materials by logging onto PracticalCESeminars.com. All of the classes you have purchased, your post-tests, and certificates are viewable through your Practical CE Seminars account.

Of course, if you continue to have difficulties opening your course materials give us a call between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. at 1-800-321-2843 and ask for Heidi Lazo or email us at PracticalCESeminars@holmangroup.com for assistance.

My credit card statement shows two or more charges for one order. How can I correct this?

Generally, one or more attempts to register did not go through and when you receive you actual monthly (hard copy) statement you will find only 1 charge for the seminar.

If this is not the case, we will certainly reimburse you for requests received within 60 days purchase. Just fax a copy of your statement to us at (818) 704-9339, attention Heidi Lazo. Please circle the duplicate charges and include a cover sheet explaining the problem. If you have your order number, enter that also. You are also welcome to scan you bill and email it to us at PracticalCESeminars@holmangroup.com or mail it to us at:

Do I need a PayPal account to purchase a CE class?

No. You can pay by check. Simply complete the Mail-in form.

How secure is you payment site?

PayPal is the industry leader in online payment security and fraud perception. They utilize the following methods of protecting you:

I was unable to get my registration to go through. How can I order the class?

Give us a call at (818) 704-1444 during regular business hours (9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Monday – Friday PST) and ask for Heidi Lazo, or send us an email at at PracticalCESeminars@holmangroup.com. We would be happy to assist you.

I was unable to get my certificate to print.

Generally, if you cannot print you certificate after completing a class, just go to the Home Page and “click” on the link that says “I need to re-print my certificate.” You will be asked to log-in and you will then be given the option of re-printing certificates for any of the classes you have taken through Practical CE Seminars. If this does not work, send us an email at PracticalCESeminars@holmangroup.com. We would be happy to personally help you retrieve your certificate. We can either 1) print and mail the certificate to you; 2) print and fax the certificate to you; or 3) email you a copy of your certificate.

I do not want to pay with a credit card.

No problem, you can mail us a check with a copy of your completed registration form, without the credit card information. MAKE CHECK PAYABLE TO Practical CE Seminars. We will then email you a link to access the class you have purchased. Please mail your check and registration form to:

I do not want to take the class online. Can you mail me a hard-copy of the class and test?

Sure just print the Mail-In Order Form to the below address. There is an additional $13 handling fee for all hard-copy orders.

Just enter the necessary information on the Mail-In Order Form. Please MAKE CHECK PAYABLE TO Practical CE Seminars. Within 2 working days of receipt of your payment, we will mail you a hard-copy of the class you have purchased. The class will be sent our priority mail. Please mail your registration form to:

What type of computer or software do I need to take an online CE class?

Our classes can be viewed on both Apples and PCs. Most of our classes are saved as PDF files so Adobe Acrobat Reader is needed. This is a free program that you can dowload easily. To download Adobe Acrobat go to http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html. If any other program is needed to view a class this will be clearly stated in the class summary.

Do I need high-speed internet to access a CE classes?

Generally you do not. Most of our classes are easily downloadable PDF files. If you are experiencing any difficulty downloading a class we would be happy to send a hard-copy of the class to you for no additional charge, or to email it to you. Can I upgrade my order and apply the money I have paid for one class to a package deal?

Yes, if the upgrade is completed within 30 days of your purchase. To upgrade your purchase, first determine which CE Package you would like to take, then just email the CE Administrator at PracticalCESeminars@holmangroup.com.

Can I change my order after I have logged on and viewed class content?

Yes, as long as you have not opened the post-test file. Once you have begun or completed the post-test we do not offer transfers. To transfer classes first determine which class you would like to take, and then email us at PracticalCESeminars@holmangroup.com and we will help you make this change. We respond to email requests within 24 hours.

Do I need to enter my license number to order a class?

Only if you want CE credits for the class. If you are just taking the class for your professional interest and no CEs are needed, then you do not need to enter a license number. For therapists wanting CE credits, we require a license number because some of the accredidation agencies require that we keep your license number on file before granting a certification of completion.

I would like a receipt for my class payment.

No problem, a receipt will automatically be sent to your email address upon receipt of payment.

I forgot the email address that I used when I registered.

No problem, just call or send us an email with your full name, the date on which you registered for your class, and the order number (if you have it). We will find your email address and email it to you within 24 hours. Our email address is PracticalCESeminars@holmangroup.com.

I forgot my password.

Go to the Home Page and “click” on the link to “I forgot my password.” This will allow you to re-set you password. If your new password is not emailed to you within a few minutes, send us an email at PracticalCESeminars@holmangroup.com and we would be happy to help.

I have been unable to view the course materials.

Our course materials are PDF files. To view these files you must have Adobe Acrobat Reader is needed. This is a free program that you can download easily. I have lost my link to the course, how can I access my course.

Go to the Home Page and “click” on the Log-In link at the top of the page. This should redirect you to your course materials. If this does not work, give us a call at (818) 704-1444 during regular business hours (9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Monday – Friday PST) and ask for Heidi Lazo. Or send us an email at PracticalCESeminars@holmangroup.com. We would be happy to personally help you retrieve your course materials.

How quickly must I complete the class?

Take all the time you need. By logging onto Practical CE Seminars all the classes you have purchased through us and your certificates will remain available for your viewing, use, and/or printing.

How long will it take for me to complete a CE course?

We prepare our online courses so that 1 hours of work is equavelent to 1 CEU. Of course, some people will be able to complete a course more quickly that 1 hour per unit, and of others it will take longer. You can complete our courses in as many different sittings as you like and there is no expiration date on course completion.

How do I order an online course?

It’s easy. From the home page of our website, click on the tab entitled “Online CE Classes.” Choose the class you would like to purchase and click on it. This will take you to our payment site and after you have paid you will be redirected to your course. If you are having any difficulties opening your course simply call Heidi Lazo at 818-704-1444 or send an email to PracticalCESeminars@holmangroup.com. Our customer service department is available Monday through Friday between 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Refund/Return Policy

In general, once you have received your link and have logged onto the CE class site we do not offer refunds unless you find out that the course does not meet your States credentialing requirements, or you find that the marketing materials did not accurately describe the course. To discuss your situation and to determine if you qualify for a refund, please please send us an email at PracticalCESeminars@holmangroup.com within 60 days of purchasing your course and we would be happy to review your request. Our goal to for you to be satisfied with all of the courses you take through our company.

Can I download course material to my computer so I do not need to remain on-line while I review the material?

The course materials can be either saved to your computer, a USB port, or a disk for later use. The post-test and evaluation must be completed online.

Can you send me the course materials and post-test in hard-copy?

Can I print print the post-test before completing it

Yes, but your answeres must be entered online after reviewing the course materials.

Tell me more about the post-test?

If you have reviewed the course materials our post-tests should be pretty easy to complete. You do need to get a 75% or above to pass the post-test, but you can take the test as many times as you would like, in as many sittings as you like, until you get a 75%. Once you have passed the test you will receive on-screen notification that you have passed. Then you will be able to complete the course evaluation. Once the evaluation is complete, you can print your certificate!

What date will be on my certificate?

The date you successfully pass the post-test.

Can I get a duplicate certifications?

No problem, just go to the Home Page and “click” on the link that says “I need to re-print my certificate.” You will be asked to log-in and you will then be given the option of re-printing certificates for any of the classes you have taken through Practical CE Seminars. If this does not work send us an email at PracticalCESeminars@holmangroup.com. We would be happy to personally help you retrieve your certificate. We can either 1) print and mail the certificate to you; 2) print and fax the certificate to you; or 3) email you a copy of your certificate.

Do your report my CE credit to MCEP?

Yes.

Do you have provisions for therapists with disabilities?

Yes, if you have a special need or require special accommodations to access one of our CE courses send us an email at PracticalCESeminars@holmangroup.com. We will do our best to meet your needs. For more information about our ADA Policy click here.

I have a complaint. What is your grievance procedure?

We are so sorry that you are not satisfied with the CE Class you have purchased. We wants all of the therapists accessing our services to be satisfied with all of their interactions with us and when a problem arises, we want to solve it right away. Our provider relations staff is available Monday through Friday, between 8:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. to address any provider issues that arise. When an issue can not easily be resolved with a phone conversation, our dispute resolution process that can be utilized.

To utilize our dispute resolution process, please submit the dispute in writing to the Provider Relations Manager. We will then respond within 20 working days of receipt of the dispute. A resolution to the dispute will be rendered within 30 working days of receipt. If the therapist disagrees with the resolution, then it can be appealed.

Can I reproduce your course materials?

Unfortunately, all of our materials are copyrighted and can not be sold, distributed, or shared with others without our permission in writing. To discuss this further please feel free to contact Dr. Ron Holman or Ms. Kim Scott.

Do you keep a record of the CE courses I have completed?

Yes. We keep a record of all completed CE courses for three years. You can also access all of the classes you have taken through Practical CE Seminars by logging onto our website with your User Name and Password. All of the classes you have taken with us will be listed and you can review the course materials or reprint your certificate at any time.
