CISM Fusion Course (combines online and live components)

Online component created by: Robert Intveld, LCSW
Live component presented by: Kim Scott, MFT

Join us for this exciting and practical CISM course fusing an Online/Home Study component and a Live Experiential component

How it works:

  1. All participants will be given access to our online course: Integrating Best Practices for Onsite Debriefing Services. The manual and post-test will also be printed and given to the participants during the Live session. Participants can review the manual and complete the post-test prior to the Live session, or at home any time after the Live session. You will earn 9 CE Credits upon completion of the online or home study portion of the class.
  2. You will earn 5 CE Credits upon completion of the Live component: Hands-On Debriefing and Defusing Practicum

Upon Completion of both parts of this hybrid course, you will earn 14 CE credits plus you will be eligible to receive a free listing on www.CISMSpecialist.com

Additionally, licensed therapists who complete this course may also be eligible to join the Crisis Care Network, which provides crisis services for employers, EAP'S, and insurers throughout the U.S. (Visit www.crisiscare.com for all eligibility requirements).

Practical CE Seminars' CISM Fusion course is an approved training source for acceptance into the Crisis Care Network. The Crisis Care Network dispatches therapists to over 800 crises per month. They have the nation's largest network of master's and doctoral level clinicians trained as critical incident response specialists.

This is a great way to grow your practice and increase your income!

This 2-part training is designed for professionals looking to offer onsite crisis intervention at workplaces and within their community, and for professionals who would like to provide debriefing services for Employee Assistance Programs. This training integrates Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM) methodology as developed by Jeffrey Mitchell, Ph.D., and George Everly, Ph.D. of the International Critical Incident Stress Foundation, Psychological First Aid, and core principles of The Employee Assistance Professional Association's (EAPA) Critical Incident Response Continuum of Care into a model that reaches all populations and organizations.

In the Live portion participants will review the most important tenants of CISM and view video examples of actual defusings and debriefings. Participants will also get hands-on experience participating in a simulated debriefing. We will discuss the difference between corporate debriefings, robbery desensitizations, and debriefings with first responders. You will also learn what EAPS are looking in therapists who do debriefings.
